A colourful flowering houseplant, known as Flowering Maple, Parlor Maple or Abutilon. It is a great houseplant for a sunny windowsill, conservatory or greenhouse. It can be also taken outside and grown on a decking or patio during the summer months.
Care - prune if it begins to get leggy, to help keep the plant bushy. Feed with a liquid plant food occasionally, to promote healthy foliage and plenty of flowers.
It is named a maple, as the leaves resemble leaves from a maple tree, but it is not a maple. It is part of the mallow family. Red, yellow and orange flowers from spring until autumn.
Max size when mature - 90cm X 50cm.
Sent as a bareroot seedling, plant in a pot with houseplant compost.
Sent 1st class in a letterbox friendly box, so it can be delivered if you are not in.
