Asparagus Fern Asparagus Setaceus is a pretty, delicate feathery fern that looks great on shelves and tables.
* Feathery fronds. Although called a fern, it is not actually a real fern, and is part of the lily family, and native to southern Africa.
* Grows well in a terrarium glass bottle.
* The plant likes humidity, so it is a good idea to spray the leaves with a mister, or grow it in the bathroom. Medium watering, so no too much, but don't let it get really dry. Winter it needs a bit less watering. Keep in a room at least 13c.
* When mature the stems have small thorns, so wear gloves when handling. Also, mildly toxic to pets and humans, so keep out of reach from young children.
* Height when mature - well over 30 cm and become multi stemmed.
