Festuca glauca
A blue-green ornamental grass great for modern garden, patio pots etc.
Native to the Mediterranean. Blue Fescue grows in clumping forming mounds (see 2nd photo) that look great in modern garden, or grown in pots on a balcony or terrace.
* Blue-grey-green grass blades.
* Plant in a sunny position or lightly shaded position.
* Tolerant of drought and poor soils. They can grow well at the base of conifers where nothing much else grows and is often a dry area.Also, looks good grown in gaps of a paved area or down the side of a drive. Plants last a few years, but can be divided to create new clumps.
* Low growing with blades about 20cm in height, making it a good ground cover plant.The seedlings will grow into a dome-shaped clump of grass blades.
3 seedlings that are ready to be planted either in a garden border, or in a plant pot. If ordering in the winter it might be a good idea to grow in a pot on a windowsill, or in a greenhouse, then plant out in spring.

As soon as they arrive open carefully, and plant them in compost in a pot, or plant with some compost directly into the garden. Then give them a good watering to help them recover from their journey.
If you order in autumn or winter, grow on indoors on a windowsill or in a greenhouse then plant in the garden in spring or summer.
