The Goji Berry plant originates from the Himalayas, so can grow well in the British climate. They can tolerate wind, salty air, if in a coastal location, and drought.
For the best crop of berries plants in full sun, but can be grown in partial shade.
Must be ripe to be consumed and shake the bush to collect berries. They can be eaten fresh or dried.
Should grow to 3 metres if not pruned. To control growth and make it more compact, it can be grown in a planter, if required. Young plants are thornless, but when mature they have thorns.
The berries have been used for centuries in Chinese medicine, and most people seem to use them in granola bars, muesli, porridge etc. They have a reputation as being a 'super food' full of Vitamin c etc, but aren't a type of fruit that is consumed like strawberries and raspberries in large amounts. Some sites recommend taking advice if you are on any medication before eating them. There is loads of pages about the health aspects of Goji berries if you do an internet search.
