Unfortunately, Royal Mail, now owned by a foreign billionaire, has put the price of a large letter 1st class stamp AGAIN. Just last spring they were £2.10, then last autumn they went up to £2.65. On Monday they increased again to £3.15. In autumn 2023 they were £1.60, so they have nearly doubled in less than 2 years.
With packing costs of 35p, this means the new postage price for plant boxes is £3.50, which is more expensive than many of the plants for sale. Although stamps are now at the new price. For a special offer, the postage remain £2.99 until next week.
Although it makes it more pricey, it can still work out as a bit of a bargain, once the plants grow a bit, compared to what you would have to pay for a mature plant.
Also, it's one postage, regardless of the amount of plants ordered. So take a look what else is for sale and order them together, to reduce the postage cost per plant.
